Which is most useful for Slideshare decks – Adding to a Pinterest Board Or Curating a List on Your Blog?

This was inspired by a post on slideshare’s blog by Kit Seeborg where she was explaining how to put slide decks on Pinterest Pinboards. Simple stuff. People don’t need to know how, they need the idea. The why. And for me the why is about attention, engagement and brand exposure.

So I asked myself a question. Which is best?

  • Adding Decks to to a Pinterest Board
  • Curating Lists of Slidesdecks on your Blog

Which is most useful? I think I know the answer, but perhaps I’m biased.

Of course once you’ve built the list it can be embedded and or shared across many blogs and of-course you can pin it!

So how did I do it?

I made a list of four randomize slide decks from Slideshare and I added them to a list on Listly. I then embedded them on my blog. Her’es the list. You can add to it, you can vote and comment.

I simply added 4 randomish slidedecks from Slideshare to Listly.

    Super simple.

    Here’s the 5 steps

    1. Create List on List.ly
    2. Find the slideshare URL for each slide deck.
    3. Add (the link only) to your List (via Listly or via Bookmarklet – repeat as needed).
    4. Embed List on Your blog (repeat on as many blogs as needed).
    5. Share on your post the web and ask for contributions.
